When we’re starting new habits, they seem big and difficult, right? Almost insurmountable.
It might be because we’re focusing too much on our desired outcomes instead of on creating solid foundations for our new behaviours.
And those new behaviours – like exercising regularly and eating well – become healthy habits over time, after we work on them consistently.
But here’s the fun part: It gets easier!
· The habits start paying off, in achieving body or performance goals.
· We start to look better, feel better, and move better.
· And it all builds on itself, so it KEEPS getting easier!
Weight management and overall health become easier. Really, they do. Please don’t quit before you give yourself the chance to really succeed. Look, it’s the same reason why athletes practice so much, day in and day out, not just before an important event. It’s a variation of muscle memory – and eventually, it runs on its own accord. You don’t have to keep pushing yourself to do it.
That’s when you have real habits, and that’s their power to make lasting change – not just to reach a temporary goal.
I would LOVE to hear what habits you’re working on!
